Fire protection you can wear
FRS FOG-IA is applied directly to protective clothing and textiles — military field uniforms and load-bearing gear, firefighter and rescuer work uniforms, tarpaulins and equipment covers. Once the agent dries into the fibres the material becomes self-extinguishing: it resists ignition from sparks, tracer rounds, hot fragments and open flame, and stops burning the moment the fire source is removed. Protection lasts for the service life of the item and can be renewed after intensive washing.
How it works
The ready-to-use, water-based premix penetrates deep into cellulose-based fibres (cotton, linen and blended fabrics) and other absorbent materials, raising their ignition threshold and imparting self-extinguishing behaviour — without PFAS or toxins. It is applied by fine-mist spray for spot treatment or by immersion bath for whole-item coverage, then dried; the fire-protective effect takes hold once the agent has fully dried within the fibre.
Also for cardboard, paper & packaging
The same agent is the core impregnation for cardboard, paper and packaging: treated stock becomes non-flammable and self-extinguishing for fire-safe storage and transport, with a rodent-repellent side benefit. Treated material chars rather than spreads flame under prolonged high heat.
Where it fits
- Military field uniforms, load-bearing gear and fabric equipment
- Firefighter and rescuer work (non-combat) uniforms
- Tarpaulins, covers and auxiliary textiles in high-risk zones
- Cardboard, paper and packaging for fire-safe storage and transport
- Archives and record stores
Certification & testing
Application parameters and certification requirements are defined per material and agreed before series treatment. Relevant textile standards include EN ISO 11612, EN 469, EN ISO 14116 and ISO 15384, plus applicable military standards. Treated materials are PFAS-free and non-toxic, and the agent is not classified as dangerous under CLP. Note: for outer layers only — not for underwear, T-shirts, balaclavas, socks, gloves or clothing intended for prolonged skin contact.
