Testing & Fire Trials

Fire tests of Fipron Canarias products, filmed with thermal imaging — from foam knock-down on a live fuel fire to fire-protective impregnation and wildfire firebreaks. See how each system performs against real fire.

Foam Fire Extinguisher

Class B fuel-fire test

The Foam Fire Extinguisher is discharged onto an open fuel-tray fire (Class B). A thermal camera reads the surface past 580 °C at ignition as the foam blankets and seals the fuel — knocking the fire down in seconds and resisting re-ignition.

FRS FOG-IA

Clothing impregnation test

A side-by-side burn test: an untreated garment against one impregnated with FRS FOG-IA and dried. A direct flame is held to each — the untreated cloth ignites and burns through, while the treated garment resists the flame, the thermal camera showing the difference in heat.

FRS FOG-IA

Cardboard impregnation test

A split-panel test on cardboard — an untreated half against an FRS FOG-IA-impregnated half. A torch drives flame across the board; the untreated side chars and burns while the fire stops at the treated boundary and does not progress into the impregnated half (thermal max above 580 °C on the untreated side).

MAM Concentrate

Wildfire firebreak test

Under conditions built to mimic a large-scale forest fire, FRS MAM Concentrate is laid down as a treated boundary and fire is driven at it — the flame front reaches the treated line and stops, with no expansion across it, and the treatment stays effective until washed away by heavy rain.

Fipron Cord

Sealed-enclosure fire test

Fipron Cord is installed inside a sealed electrical enclosure and a fire is started inside it. With no power, detector or intervention, the cord’s microcapsules rupture at roughly 200 °C and flood the closed cabinet with agent — suppressing the fire at the source before it can spread.

MAM Concentrate

Fuel storage-tank fire test

FRS MAM Concentrate deployed on a full-surface fuel storage-tank fire — a large Class B blaze. The foam blankets and seals the burning fuel surface, cutting off oxygen and knocking the fire down (the on-screen timer tracks the suppression).

Fipron Sticker

Electrical-outlet fire test

A Fipron Sticker is fitted inside an electrical outlet box, then a fault is driven to ignite the enclosure. As the temperature climbs past the activation point, the sticker’s microcapsules rupture and release the extinguishing agent directly at the source — smothering the fire inside the box before it can spread.

Fipron Box

MC4 connector fire test

An MC4 solar connector is made to fault and ignite inside a Fipron Box. The sealed, fire-resistant housing contains the flames while the integrated Fipron Cord activates — releasing its extinguishing agent at the seat of the fire to suppress it inside the box and stop it reaching the array or roof.

Foam Fire Spray

Household & industrial fire test

A hand-held Foam Fire Spray is used on household and industrial fires — a burning television and furniture, then a drum of burning ammunition. The PFAS-free FRS EXcellent 1 foam smothers the flames and seals the burning surface, knocking each fire down in seconds without water or installation.
